DESCRIPTION:Now in its sixth year\, Courtney’s Court Challenge is expanding beyond Rochester and heading to Syracuse—bringing the same energetic spirit to Drumlins! Swing and serve for a cause on Sunday\, May 17\, 2026 to support local teens and young adults with cancer at 13thirty Cancer Connect! \nIn Honor of Courtney Ferrara Wilhelm\n  \n\n\nCourtney joined 13thirty Cancer Connect on the advice from her cousin Christina\, who went to high school with Lauren’s (founder) daughter\, Melissa. \nFrom that first meeting\, Courtney was impressed with the camaraderie\, compassion and comfort she found at 13thirty with people her own age who were experiencing the same issues that she was facing. She embraced 13thirty with all her might\, where she was no longer the elephant in the room with cancer\, she knew that she was a part of a very special group of people. \nShe made many new friends through 13thirty\, which empowered her to focus a positive energy for a greater good\, despite her rapidly declining health.
